According to an article from The Hollywood Reporter, DMG Entertainment, a China and U.S. based entertainment and media company that produced Looper, Iron Man 3, and Point Break, has signed a deal to Hasbro to create an attraction known as “Transformers Live” in China.
It was also reported that S2BN Entertainment, the company behind “The Marvel Experience”, will be producing the show. In a statement by their Chairman Michael Cohl, he described Transformers Live will be “a cross between an action-adventure spectacle, a theme park attraction and a theatrical show.”
It is not known if the attraction will feature characters from Generation 1 or the Transformers Cinematic
Universe, but based on the $320 million in ticket sales of Transformers: Age of Extinction in China, it’s easy to assume that it will be the latter.
What are you thoughts on this attraction? Would you like to see something similar in the United States or other Western Countries? Let us know and join in the conversation on the boards
