TFNation 2017 have announced one of the extra-special events on their event program for their 2017 show. At TFNation 2017 fans will be able to enjoy far more than Transformers – you’ll also be able to learn about Takara’s other super robot lifeform series. That’s right, TFNation 2017 is bringing the love to the Brave Series!
Yusha, or Brave, is a series of eight shows and toylines that Takara released in Japan between 1990 and 1997, bridging the large gap left when Transformers largely disappeared from Japanese airwaves and toy shelves. The Brave Series shows were produced by Sunrise, known for their work on Mobile Suit Gundam, and were accompanied by some extremely fun transforming robot toys in the vein of later Generation 1 toys, such as Star Saber or Powermaster Optimus Prime.
To introduce fans to the world of the Brave Series, TFNation will be presenting a panel on 11 August 2017. Hosted by our own Sol Fury and long-time Brave fans Timey Wimey and CZ Hazard, the panel will introduce TFNation’s attendees to the background of Brave, its connections with Transformers, some of the lore, and of course, the toys! Moreso, TFNation will also be hosting the largest display of DX Brave toys compiled, so you can check out these great robot toys in person!
TFNation 2017 will be taking place over the weekend of August 11 – 13, 2017, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham in the UK. Guests will include voice actors Venus Terzo (Beast Wars Blackarachnia), Hal Rayle (Generation 1 Snarl and Shrapnel), and Maggie Roswell (Maude Flanders), Transformers creators and writers Bob Budiansky and Simon Furman, fan-favourite writer James Roberts, writer & artist Nick Roche, artists Stephen Baskerville, Alex Milne, Jack Lawrence, Kei Zama, and Sara Pitre-Durocher, and last but not least, colourists Josh Perez and John-Paul Bove.
