This far along in the process it may seem a bit redundant to be showing off prototype images of Masterpiece Ironhide, given we have seen what appears to be final stock images already. However, TakaraTomy Mall recently updated their order page with prototype images of Ironhide, showing off accessories, robot mode, and vehicle mode.
As you zoom in on the vehicle mode windshield, you’ll be able to see a G1 toy easter egg of the Ironhide toy: Ironhide’s “sticker face” is represented here. When G1 Ironhide was released in 1984, he was part of the Diaclone line that featured pilot controlled robots. The G1 line included a sticker to cover up the pilot seat to represent Ironhide’s face as it looked through the vehicle windshield.
This is our first clear image through the windshield, and it reveals a fantastic attention to detail and nod to G1 fans. What does TFW think of the easter egg? Hit the discussion link below!
