Best parts of Transformers Live Action Movie Principal Photography can be considered as Set Images and Speculation. When it comes to that, Transformers fans of TFW2005 are the best under the sun. Over the last couple of days our boards were bombarded with images and info regarding a possible new Autobot. Let us take a look at what we got.
The existence of a Dump Truck Cybertronian first surfaced earlier this year during an interview with Director Michael Bay where the director was working on post production of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows.
Finally, there’s Transformers. They show Bay an underwater rendering of a crash-landed alien spaceship, then a new dump-truck Transformer with a cloak. Neither are up to snuff. “Boy, I’ve got a lot of work to do,” Bay says, shaking his head. “I better finish this [censored] 13 Hours movie.” He thanks ILM and kills the video link, then turns to me. “It’s not good when I’m not involved.”
As soon as a new image of a similar vehicle spotted on the set, fans began to wonder if this is the one revealed during the interview. With tinted windows (usually indicating it’s a robot) and a cab full of odd junk objects, this Mercedes-Benz Model 1924 Dump Truck certainly had everyone’s interest. He was spotted rolling along with the Autobots.
More images showed up and judging by several stickers on the hood it seems as though the truck had been traveling all around the world collecting junk including Egypt. Speaking of which, eagle-eyed fans quickly pointed out that the truck is carrying what looks as though several parts of Jetfire which were abandoned by Optimus Prime after the battle of Egypt at the end of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.
Interestingly, one of the Stickers seems to be the logo of Star Seekers; a band of Space Pirates from the Aligned Continuity. On the storyline Thundertron‘s pirates battled Wreck-Gar and the Junkions. Also on the door is a sticker containing several Cybertronian writings. Update: Our members pointed out that despite the similarity the sticker looks more like a pair of crossed scimitars and a crown.
Speculation time! It is clear that majority of the fans are opting for the possibility of him being Wreck-Gar, the Junkion leader. They base their theory on the fact that Transformers: Animated Wreck-Gar is also a Trash Truck as well. Quite a good theory. But knowing Transformers live action movies, this Cybertronion could be anyone. It could even be Prowl, or Cliffjumper, or Superion. What do you think?
